The Magic Piano tells the story of Anna, a girl whose father has to leave their native Poland and look for work in London. Anna misses her father terribly and sets out to find him, closely followed by her annoying cousin Chip Chip. While trying to hide from her cousin in a garbage pile, the kids find a broken piano that magically transforms into a flying machine and they are whisked off on an adventure across Europe.
The beautiful short animation has recently been shortlisted to feature at the 2012 Oscars ceremony and Nintendo 3DS owners will be able to get a unique insight into the animation through these stunning short clips that can be received via SpotPass.
Also on offer are a variety of short animated clips from the World of the Flying Machine including two thoroughly amusing clips titled the “Fat Hamster” and “Papas Boy” all nominated to be on the 2012 Best Short Animation Oscar Longlist. You will also have a chance to watch “Little Postman”, the World’s first painting animation in 3D, which won the award for Best Short 3D Film at the LA 3D film festival.
Nintendo 3DS owners can also look forward to being among the first people to take a glimpse at this iconic Star Wars content in 3D, by downloading the remastered trailer to the upcoming theatrical release Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace, which will be coming soon to cinemas in 3D.
"Right back at Ya!" is a two part Kirby TV animation made specially in 3D for Nintendo 3DS. It stars all of your favourite Kirby characters as they battle King Dedede and a giant Lobzilla who have set out to destroy Kirby. The two part episode will be available, via Nintendo Video, from 2nd February 2012.
The first of the eight 3D clips from the Magic Piano and the World of the Flying Machine will be available to view, via Nintendo Video, from 2nd February 2012, as well as the two part 3D Kirby TV episode and also the Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace 3D trailer.
