The Worms 2: Armageddon Mayhem Pack is a free downloadable content pack released to celebrate the forthcoming release of Worms Ultimate Mayhem on PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3. The DLC pack features 3 new landscape themes (‘Wild West’, ‘Jurassic’ and ‘Arabian’), 3 new hats, 3 new speech banks and 3 new gravestones, all based upon some of the content that is coming soon in Worms Ultimate Mayhem.
Originally planned for for release along side the PC and Xbox 360 version at the end of 2011, the Playstation 3 version of Worms Ultimate Mayhem was delayed and a release date has yet to be confirmed.
Team 17 wrote on its Facebook page: "This is a message for all those PS3 users who are patiently waiting for Ultimate Mayhem to be released. We know we said that we expected it to be out before the end of last year and that was what we tried to do, but we had a couple of issues that we needed to sort out which meant that we didn't hit our expected release date and for that we would like to say sorry. However, we are still working on the game and we expect to have a new release date very soon. Thanks again for being patient."
