Minecraft to get map and texture pack 'inspired' by Far Cry 3's universe

Ubisoft have announced that a map and texture pack inspired by the Far Cry 3 universe will be available to download for Minecraft on the PC this October 26th.

The pack allows users to explore and survive in Minecraft through the warped lens of Far Cry 3, with modifications to all aspects of the game, including environments, weapons, tools and key Far Cry 3 locations and characters, including Vaas, Jason and Citra, all completely redesigned in Minecraft style. The map will also feature over 50 Easter Eggs, hidden throughout the Islands.

The map pack is being modded by Michael Lambert (Sacr3, creator of Newcraft City), a well-known Minecraft enthusiast, while artists Axel Janssen and Yohann Delcourt are responsible for the textures. The Far Cry 3 inspired pack will be released for free via the Far Cry official website.
