Sony has announced that the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Beta for the PlayStation 3 will kick off for PlayStation Plus members in North America tomorrow (October 16th) and a day later in Europe on October 17th. The beta will then be available for everyone else on October 23rd.

PS Vita users will be able to dive right into the multiplayer beta starting tomorrow – no need for a Plus subscription. The Beta will support Cross-Play, so PS3 and PS Vita owners will be able to fight with and against each other.

In the beta players will be able to choose from 6 characters, Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, PaRappa, and Fat Princess, and will be able to try out the four-player online tournaments and 2 v 2 online tournaments. For the 2 v 2 games players can invite friends, so you and a friend can fight another team online.
